1. In the large bowl of an electric mixer, cream together the margarine, peanut butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda and salt. On low speed, add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
3. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven 12 to 15 minutes, until golden.
4. Immediatley press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool a few minutes before removing to cooling racks.
