Praline Cookies

About 60 cookies

 

1 cup butter or stick margarine, softened

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

60 pecans

1. Cream together the butter, brown sugar and vanilla. Add the flour and salt, mixing thoroughly. Chill dough 30 minutes.

2. Form dough into balls about 3/4 inch in diameter. Place on ungreased baking sheets, 20 to a sheet. Place pecan half in center of each ball, pressing down lightly.

3. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven 14 minutes, or until golden brown.
