Salsa Rice

4 to 6 servings

 

2 1/4 cups of water

1 cup salsa

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups long-grain white rice


.

1. In a medium size sauce pan combine the water, salsa, cumin, chili powder and salt. Stir in the rice.

2.Bring to a boil, stirring well. Reduce the heat to medium low, cover and cook 20 minutes.

3. Let sit for 5 minutes, covered, before serving.

NOTE: Goes well with Chili-Cheese Chicken
